You can apply to the Emergency Relief Fund and to the Hospitality Workers Mental Health Fund.


You can choose to apply to one or both of the support funds.

 

Applications are open to all front of house and back of house hospitality professionals across Canada, provided:

  • You work or worked at a licensed establishment for at least three months.

  • You can prove your employment with an ROE or pay stub, that clearly shows your name, your employer and dates of employment.

  • You have a valid Social Insurance Number.

  • You have not been awarded the Emergency Relief Fund or the Hospitality Workers Mental Health Fund in the last 6 months.

Please ensure that your contact information is entered correctly.


After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email and your details will be reviewed by our Funding Officer, who will:

  • Confirm your identity

  • Confirm your employment history

  • Remove your identifying information before distributing to our Disbursement Panels

PLEASE NOTE: Any application without the correct details or supporting documents will not be forwarded to the assessment panels.

 

The Disbursement Panels are made up of Canadian hospitality professionals who review the applications once all employment details and identifying information have been removed. Applications are rated individually from 1-10 based on the acuteness of the need and the urgency of the situation, then are reviewed by the panel as a group to determine which applicants will receive funding that week.

 

Applicants will be notified whether their request can be fulfilled by the following Sunday. Successful applicants have 48 hours to provide their SIN - a requirement from our funders - before we can deposit any funds.


Emergency Relief Fund


The amount that is awarded to successful applicants is in value of $250.

 

Tax information: Please note, the Emergency Relief Fund granted to applicants totaling $250 or more may be considered taxable income by the CRA. Please consult with your financial advisor for further information.

 

Please ensure these details are correct before submitting: incorrect information will lead to a delay in our inability to disburse your funds. The Emergency Relief Fund is disbursed via our third party payment system Plooto.


Hospitality Workers Mental Health Fund


Please note that it can take up to 45 days from the date you apply and until you are referred for an intake appointment with the ADLER Centre.
