"How to automatically create PDFs with Google Form Responses"- Quora

Some forms need a file for each person who fills them in, not a row in a list. For example, you take rental applications and each one has to be on file in your tenants folder before you offer the apartment. Google Forms keeps answers in one list, and printing each response to PDF and moving it to the folder takes time you do not have. You can write a script for it, but then that script is yours to fix. Formesign makes a PDF of each response when it is submitted and saves it to the Google Drive folder you choose. It can also email that PDF to the person who filled it in. This works for invoices, agreements, applications, certificates, onboarding documents and consent forms.

Let's start. Upload your form as a PDF and follow the steps below.

Email attachment

  • Upload your PDF and click Proceed. On "Do you need the signed document to match your original PDF?", select Yes, keep my PDF exactly as it is and click Continue.
  • Check the fields and click Proceed. On "How do you want the signature?", select Create a reusable link for recurring forms and click Continue. Click View signed documents.
  • Click on "Responses" tab
The tabs PDF Template, Form, Preview, Share, Signed PDF and Responses, with Responses marked
  • Click Kanban board
  • Click on the three dots for the column your responses land in, such as Submitted, and click Notify respondent

  • Update the message, enable the Include form response as attachment option and click Next
  • When Test email notification is displayed, submit a test response with your own email address in the form and click YES to complete the setup.

Summary

If you need every response on file as its own document, printing each one to PDF and moving it to a folder takes time. With Formesign, you sync your form to your google drive folder once and each response is saved there as its own PDF. Upload your form as a PDF and complete the steps above.
