How to create automatic discounts based on order amount or order quantity?

To reward bigger orders, the discount has to depend on the order, and a Google Form never adds the order up. Ten percent off once someone buys ten items, or 20% off above $100, means checking each response yourself, working out the discount and telling the customer the new amount after they've submitted. Neartail puts the order amount and quantity on your Google Form, so a Discount field can follow your rule with the IFS function. When an order reaches your amount or quantity, the customer sees the discount come off before they submit, and the order reaches you with it taken off.

Let's start. Create your order form and follow the steps below.

Discounts based on order quantity

You can use the QUANTITY() function to calculate the total order quantity and apply the discount. For example, if you would like to offer a 10% discount on the total amount for orders of 10 or more items, then you can use the following formula.
IFS(QUANTITY() >= 10, TOTAL() * 0.10, 0)
  • In Field settings, select the Answer tab. Write the formula in the Calculate option as shown below and click Save

Summary

A Google Form can't give a discount for a bigger order, because it doesn't know the order amount or quantity. With Neartail, you write the rule once with the IFS function and the discount comes off on the form whenever an order reaches it. Create your order form and complete the steps above.
